Darren Thomas, JD, CPA, EA Awarded New Jersey Society of CPAs 2024 Impact Ovation Award

Traphagen CPAs & Wealth Advisors proudly announce that Darren W. M. Thomas, CPA, J.D., EA, Tax Director, was awarded the Impact Ovation Award by The New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants (NJCPA). This honor is in recognition of Darren’s exemplary efforts and stellar achievement in advancing New Jersey’s accounting profession. Darren currently serves as the NJCPA Leader of the State Tax Interest Group and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the NJCPA. Darren is proud of his involvement in the NJCPA’s “Ask a CPA” program, a collaborative effort with the Asbury Park Press to assist New Jersey residents and small business owners during tax filing season.

The NJCPA Impact Awards recognize those who dedicate meaningful time and energy to commendable endeavors such as giving back to the community, sharing professional expertise to support others, or advancing the interests and needs of the accounting profession through active engagement, leadership, or advocacy.

Darren is a Certified Public Accountant in New Jersey, a licensed attorney in New York and New Jersey, an IRS Enrolled Agent, and is federally authorized as a tax practitioner. With extensive experience in partnerships, corporations, and personal tax, Darren specializes in tax compliance, research, consulting, planning, and controversy.
